Newquay is a great place for all, families, couples and friends alike. It is also extremely dog friendly. It has plenty to keep you entertained for the whole week, or if the mood takes you a great base to explore from.

Here are some of our top picks.

Fistral Beach Newquay

Fistral Beach Newquay

hit the beach

Newquay has many fabulous beaches, Fistral being the most famous. Don’t stop there though, try Crantock beach (highly recommended) for the pools or the beaches in town like Towan or Great Western. All of these beaches are Dog Friendly.

anyone for golf

Trenance Gardens is a great place to visit. It has a boating lake, miniature railway and a beautiful crazy golf course along with gardens to enjoy and a tea rooms for a break. Newquay Zoo is also there. You can walk or catch the land train to get to Trenance. Another crazy golf course can be found at Gilmores in the town

a spot of crabbing

Our favourite place to bag a bucketful of crabs is Looe, you just can’t fail! You can still crab in Newquay, and Padstow is good too.

a day trip to St Ives.

One of our favourite days out is a trip to St Ives. Our top tip, park at St Erth Parkway and take the train into St Ives. Not only will you be wowed by the coastal views, you will ride straight into the centre of St Ives without having the struggles of parking. While you are at St Erth, perhaps head over to Penwith pitch n putt (5 min drive) for a game of footgolf, crazy golf or Pitch n putt.
